It is always exciting times in late May, our home town Chico is full of visitors and gown-wearing graduating students, a familiar sight during this time of the year. However, this also means that most of the Chico State graduates leave Chico for the next phase in their lives and one of them is our wonderful Emily who has become a part of the family and has worked so hard for us. She has modeled for us flashing that gorgeous smile and worked as a talented member on our marketing team.

She is heading back to Solvang, CA and we will dearly miss her here at PB&J Boutique. Congratulatios on completing your Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, the best of luck in the future and enjoy your well deserved graduation trip to Europe!

New Vendors & New Location

We have been awfully busy the last couple of months, several new vendors introduced to our clothing racks and we have moved into a bigger and better location here in Chico, CA. We will add some pictures soon, but in the mean time, lets take a look at the new vintage clothing vendors we have added since last time we spoke!

First on the list is A’Reve which just adds to our ruffle and lacey inventory:

May 13th 2012 update: We are running very low on Lane inventory, we hope our back-order of boots will be in store in the next few weeks.

From our base out of Northern California we really can’t escape our western heritage and we have therefore proudly added another fabolous vendor: Lane Cowboy Boots. This is the real deal, quality leather and craftsmanship imprinted with beautiful patterns and motives. A fun addition to our inventory here at PB&J, we hope you like them too!

New Vendors: Odd Molly & Knitted Dove

Abnormally dry winters, and recently rainly spring and summer seasons have dominated the weather man’s speeches lately here in Nortern California. Finally, a cool and crisp fall season is well underway and everything seems normal again.

To meet the demand for cozy fall and winter outfits we picked up several new vendors this fall including Odd Molly and Knitted Dove. Odd Molly is a Swedish designer with a pretty large international footprint with great success over the last years. High quality attire, unique embroidery and stylish pieces characterice their clothing.

Knitted Dove is certainly vintage inspired fashion forward. Their pieces are characterised by warm and vibrant colors application of fun buttons on many out their outfits. We are delighted with our first batches for this fall and winter!

As fall turns into vinter we are happy to introduce another vendor to our collection. Darling Clothing from the U.K. is all about style, comfiness and attention to detail. We got into their fall/winter order cycle and Europeans do really know how to handle the winter-strides with cute warm fashion. We can’t wait to add their gorgeous pieces to our spring inventory, and I’m sure you will all agree!

Horse Bridle Rosettes

We just received an amazing and long awaited shipment from Serendipity Designs by Susan. These are hand made Horse Bridle Rosette necklaces with a brass or base metal back with a domed glass that shelters motives of plants, nature and anmials. Each item is unique and crafted by hand, no two alike.

Serendipity Designs by Susan writes about the “History of the Horse Bridle Rosette”:

It has been written that the rosettes originated in ancient Egypt. The Egyptians, being superstitious, decorated their brides in order to direct the “evil eye” to the beautiful bridle rosettes in order to spare their horses from harm. That superstition continued into the Victorian era. Rosettes were produced from the 1800′s to about the 1950′s. They were often used to decorate a child or woman’s horse bridle. They were also used by the U.S. Cavalry in simpler forms made of backlite or silver and by some companies as an advertising tool. The rosette is domed glass, or paperweight style, with a brass or base metal back and is 75 to 100 pluss years old.

Just loving one of our newest and fabolous vendors, Elan International! If it must be comfy, if it must be beautiful and priced right, it must be Elan International clothing. Our inital order with Elan was really a good mix between casual wear, formal attire and cozy clothes.

Maxi Dress. A raw edge charcoal razor back maxi dress made by Elan International. 94% rayon & 6% spandex. Machine wash cold and hang to dry. A small measures 66 inches in length and 15 1/2 inches across the chest.

Swing Top. A square neck swing top made by Elan International. 100% cotton. Hand wash cold and hang to dry. The top measures 22 inches in length and 17 inches across the chest. One size fits all.

New Vendors – New Cute Stuff!

Another bulk of inventory has landed on PB&J’s doorstep and we are getting ready for summer. Jackets and sweaters give way to light vests, tops and tanks. More is on it’s way and makings its way to our online store front, but among other brands, new cute tunics, cardigans and tops from Blue Bird Clothing has arrived and one of our top vendors, Mystree, has once again stuffed our shelves with beautiful vests, cardis and tops.

While gearing up for summer we have picked up several new vendors such as Flowers By Zoe with gorgeous tanks and tunics, a sweet-spot for our regular customers. KBD Studio introduced us to their beautiful peace and nature inspired tanks and accessories and we love them!
