Smoothie time

Hello all, I hope everybody is having a wonderful holiday season! We here at PB&J have been super busy and I’m sure it’s the same on the flip-side! I wanted to take a chance to fill you gals in on a few yummy smoothie recipes I have been obsessing over lately. I feel like when I find something I like that is easy and healthy, why not make it a habit???

The Green Machine

  1. 2 large handfulls of spinach
  2. 2 cups almond milk (milk of preference)
  3. 1 scoop of protein powder
  4. 1 table spoon Chia seeds
  5. 1 large banana
  6. 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  7. 1 splenda packet (raw honey or raw agave syrup works great, too)

Peanut-Haze

  1. 1 large banana
  2. 2 cups almond milk (milk of preference)
  3. 1 scoop of protein powder
  4. 1 table spoon Chia seeds
  5. 2 tablespoons organic peanut butter
  6. 1 tablespoon Nutella

Mango Avocado Crush

  1. 1 whole avocado
  2. 1/2 banana
  3. 1 cup frozen diced Mangos
  4. 1 splenda packet (raw honey or raw agave syrup works great, too)
  5. 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  6. 2 cups almond milk (milk of preference)

Okay now dont feel intimidated, these actually taste really good and have enough substance to fill you up for an entire morning. One thing I always find myself doing is garnishing my smoothies. I feel that it completes it and makes it feel like a full meal, and maybe a little fancy, too! Use what every you have in your kitchen; coconut flakes, fresh berries, mint leaves, whatever you have!

Cheers and I hope that you enjoy a fresh smoothie to kick off your weekend!

xx, Laura
